Thank you to the author for sharing her experiences and trying to help others that suffer from this anxiety and her offerings of hope. The scriptures are always an added help! Looking forward to future writings.

I found the book to be very helpfull.I suffered from anxiety and panic attacks since I was a child and this book shared wonderful,Biblical insight plus, I loved how she had Spiritual prescriptions and medication options because sometimes we feel we are lacking in faith when we turn to medication for anxiety. But i thank GOD for a writer who shares from her heart her story to bring healing to others like myself. Like Mrs. Brittain said herself, The Lord wants to set us free, and people are getting set free threw the writings of this book.

Being a Christian who has been suffering from anxiety for several months now – I purchased this book with great expectations. Not only did I gain no new information, I did not agree with her heavy reliance on medication for healing. One minute she’d be praising the doctors, the next minute she’d praise the medicine. I prefer to praise God all of the time in all things. I suppose I was looking for a story of divine healing from the anxiety. You read through this person’s entire personal journal of things that happened in her life (many of which had nothing to do with her anxiety)awaiting the part of the book at which God healed her — only to find that she is still on medication. Judge not lest thou be judged…so I think I’ll stop here. I just wish I’d saved the money instead of purchasing this book! Very disappointed!

I was very disappointed with this book. Having read a dozen ‘secular’ books on the subject of anxiety disorder, I was thrilled to come across a book written with the Christian in mind! However, it is my personal opinion that it is not written from a biblically-sound foundation. Being of the word-faith movement, Angela made life decisions based on fortune telling (in her words “prophesy”) and claims a “healing” in her journey through anxiety … though she admits that she is still on medication (some 10+ years later) and still has quarterly psychiatric visits in order to stay on the medication. I would not classify this as a ‘healing’. Though it appears that she has made significant progress in recovery using the many skills she learned through secular sources, she has NOT ‘overcome’ this condition — thus, her subtitle is inaccurate and the premise of the book misleading. I did appreciate her honesty of the many struggles she faced in life. But I would NOT recommend this book as a solid Christian source on the subject.
